With "Headscarf" the artist explored the symbolism of a familiar piece of cloth. Fashion item, religious symbol or political statement: this simple piece of cloth can create identity, exclude or simply be soft to the touch. Cihangir playfully transformed the headscarf into his very own cosmos.
